When: Monthly on Tuesdays 10:00 am
1st Tuesday
Venue: Varies

This group was among the first to be formed.  Around twenty members have turned out to walk each month. Since the Eastwood U3A started in 2014 our 5 mile walkers have never missed the first Tuesday of the month walk. The friendly group walk in rain, shine, and even snow. We normally meet at Morrisons’ car park and car share, while some of our walkers go directly to the start of the walk

The 5 mile easy/moderate circular walk is often organised by the walkers.  In the winter months we try to choose walks on firmer paths

A different walk is organised each time, members of the group have the opportunity to plan a route or just turn up to enjoy the walk

Walk details appear in the monthly newsletter and on the board at the monthly meeting.

Walks we have done, include amongst others: Straws Bridge, West Hallam-Linby- Gallows Inn, Ilkeston- Eastwood, part of Pentrich Revolution walk and D.H. Lawrence Blue Line Trail- Bluebell Walk, Swingate-Greasley,  Nuthall- Hucknall-Bestwood Country Park

Other snapshots from recent walks

Walking along the Cromford Canal last year

Programme is provisional and subject to change. Other suggestions include Dale Abbey or Straws Bridge - West Hallam, if anyone wishes to change a venue.

NB: Please remember to carry a card bearing next of kin information.

Thank you. Angie Shaw
